ARPS Hanging Plan
For two years our small garden was left to its own devices and rampant weeds, brambles and ivy took over. I was surprised at the number of flowers that continued to grow successfully despite such adverse conditions. This panel is a purely personal choice of those plants, not always perfect specimens, that gave me pleasure. Whilst the choice of subject was easy, what was more difficult was achieving 15 images consistent enough to make a coherent panel. The individual flowers were photographed against light and focus stacked in post processing. I wanted to show the individuality of each flower with a passing reference to 19th century botanical drawings. The images were printed on soft textured matte paper, essential to achieve the watercolour effect I wanted.
